I may have just lost my mojo for blogging. Really. I stare at this blog not knowing what to write and what to say and even what to blab about. But it is the new year aight… so let’s see what we can do about this… but this is already 8 days overdue!! God I am soo behind on things, on ALL due dates, including work. Sheeshhh what is wrong with me.

We did absolutely NOTHING for NYE. Counting back, NYE 2007 is our 4th new year celebration together. Yeah I know to most people it will be just “what?? just 4 years??” yeah well, to me it’s like “wow 4 years and we still haven’t gotten bored of each other”. Miahahaha. Pardon me lah, haven’t been with one single person for that amount of time and still have the spark or the shingles or butterflies or whatever you might call them. What we did was have an early dinner out (in the car parked at a petrol station somewhere enjoying 1901 hot dogs nyummmm), then to ss2 for some DVDs, and was home by 10, and watched DVDs till late. At the strike of midnight, we heard some firecrackers from some celebration somewhere nearby the house but we didn’t even bother to get up to look, just turned to each other and said “Happy New Year!” smiled and gave each other a kiss. Then back to the DVDs. Hahaha such is a married couple’s life. The need to party and have some plans or getaway for the countdown just poofed into thin air. Losers? You decide la.

So let’s see.. some recap of 2006….. shall we?

  1. My age went past the quarter-century mark. Boohooooo scary la nearing the big 3-0 huk huk.
  2. Had realll taste of married life. Yeah well we got married in the second half of 2005 la, but it takes a while for the feeling to sink in. Yeahhh hehehe. Not all sugar drops and gum rolls but hey, asam garam kehidupan. Priceless experiences and lessons learnt. You will never know until you go through it. Overall, definitely worth it :D After all the dramas and stuff. We’re definitely getting better at this, right hubbster? Past the 1-year anniversary too :D
  3. Went to one of the best parties of all times!!! Tiestoooo!!!!! Wooohoooo! Most probably was my LAST outdoor party, and that was way back in March. Hmmm. Good company, good friends, good music. Hell of a lot of fun. Yeah sure of course we did step foot on Heritage Row a few times for birthday celebrations and stuff, but somehow that place is NOT party to me. Hehehe. Well, my partying days are as good as over :) no real regrets lah, been there done that stuff anyways. I made my grand exit during Tiesto. Take a bow, this show is over say goodbye.
  4. Went to KB, after god knows how many years. THAT was fun, I kinda liked KB, minus the fact it takes forever sitting in  the car to get there. Grrrrr. And I even spent Raya there, first time ever Raya somewhere else other than JB or S’pore. I tell ya, I’ve never appreciated Raya much. Always took it for granted. Not that there was anything good for Raya all the while. But somehow when for the first time I did not see my parents during Raya, that emotion hit home. Calling them pagi Raya… damn… was kinda sad lah. But I am getting used to the fact lah, just the first time right?
  5. Had my biggest personal problem, dealing with problems within myself. Biggest challenge I had to face dealing with the truth of the matter, deciding to do something about it and all. THAT took a toll, on the both of us, but I seriously couldn’t ask for someone better to help me deal with it. Had it been anyone else, I guess I wouldn’t get through this in one piece. (queue to go “Awwwwww sooo sweeettt” here) But, may I say now, that the problem is solved, I am not sad anymore, and loads of good things are happening in 2007??? Hehehehehe.
  6. I got my own international passport!!! Wooohooo!!! Yeah yeah no biggie to most people who’s had passports before they could write, but for me, it is a bloody achievement!!! It took 3-4 months of bureaucracy red-tape crap before I could get it ok… I’m proud of the fact ngehehehe.
  7. The accident. Damn accident made hubbster’s fingers crooked, and now his guitar-playing (which never failed to amuse and entertain me) is never the same again. Kesian the fingers.. and the never-the-same-again Kelisa too.
  8. Braces went off!!! Yeay yeay no more metals in the mouth miahaha and I’m finally not ashamed of smiling wide too!
  9. After more than a quarter-century of life, I went out of Malaysia for a week-long holiday. Somewhere other than Singapore. Hahahahaha yeah it’s pathetic but hey it’s still a big thing to me! Bali rawks!!!
  10. Both me and hubbster got new jobs. Alhamdulillah, rezeki… not that big of a deal really, but we needed the changes and the few extra bucks..
  11. And a miracle happened…. and life couldn’t be more perfect :)

Bye2 2006, thanks for everything!!
