I have no idea why I haven’t been updating this blog religiously. It’s not time constraint, it’s not that I’m THAT busy, I dunno. Maybe my mind and brain went to slush and I lost all my thoughts and ideas when they got mixed up like the slurpee machines in 7E. Gahhh. It’s already the end of the month for God’s sakes.

Let’s see… what can I say happened since the last post… Valentine’s. Not to say that we celebrate it, not to say that we don’t. Yeah sure I get the whole cliche about ‘celebrating love for only a day’ and the whole ‘murtad kalau celebrate’. I would say, yeah sure u celebrate love everyday, but when ur married and all, it gets harder and harder to get off ur ass to do something special for the other half. There’s just so many other things in mind etc etc especially when the wife is lugging around a big tummy miahahaha. So my reason would be, it’s a nice day to have a celebration other than anniversaries and birthdays. Me and hubbster, we take turns planning Valentine’s. Doesn’t have to be romantic candlelight dinner for 2 at the most expensive restaurant in town, but just something for us to do that day. This year it was my turn.

My romantic idea?? I booked 2 tix for the movie ‘The Holiday’ (yes I know everyone’s saying it’s boring etc etc but hell la it was the only movie that seemed to suit the occasion hehehe). I had to book a 7++ movie, but lo and behold I had an appointment right smack in the middle of KL during the afternoon and only reached office back at 6.30 and the roads were jammed up like mad, and I made it to the movies, an hour after the movie started with hubbster waiting patiently for me with a bag of Cheezels and Ribena. Watched half the movie, walked around the packed-with-lovers Curve and Cineleisure, then had a hassle-free dinner at 10++ after most people left near the house. Ngehehehe. Romantic habis la tu. Oh, and I got hand-picked flowers tied together with ribbons and a box of chocs from hubbster. :D

Then.. there was the 5 day public hols for CNY. My company made Wednesday compulsory leave, though for me it’s unpaid since I don’t have annual leave yet sob sob sob. Mom came to KL on Saturday and stayed till yesterday. So filial daughter me (and son-in-law hubbster) entertained mom whilst she was here. I mean, she’s not here often. I’ve been here for 5 years and she was here only 3 times. Once after I was hospitalized (hehe), once during the wedding and now. So of course it’s my duty to take her around right? Had fun though, planning each day where to go and all. Baby stuff is about 85% complete with mom around hehe and she had fun too preparing for her 3rd grandchild’s appearance. The room downstairs is complete with the cot and the strollers and all, washed and cleaned and prepped up for the baby’s arrival.

Of course passing the 3 day mark of being with mom did take its toll on me and yeah we did have some arguments but I blame it all on the hormones, and some disability on MY part to say “yes mother” to every single thing she says and suggests and all. But I do understand it’s all in the name of a mother’s love for her child and the only one far apart from her is always a tad bit more special as she don’t get to annoy me (and me, her) every single day and often enough.

So there, while I try to get the clock to go faster today and to push the holiday mood out and get more precious sleep as well as wait for the next weekend, goodbye for now.

And I did cry a tad bit when she left yesterday, not as much compared to the bucketful she shed. I’ll see you soon mom. Only 2 months to go :)
