After bath in her hooded towel
Lil girl turned 4 months old yesterday!! Woohooo!!!! Time really flies… and I am a bit on the sad side as she is no newborn no more! Now she is a full-blown infant. Sob sob hehehehe. We brought her back to JB for the first time over the weekend, the furthest kiddo has ever gone before. Must say it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Of course, we took home a big luggage bag, and more than half of that is her stuff alone! I didn’t want to not have anything she MIGHT need so I ended up packing a week’s worth of clothes and stuff hehehe. Good though as she needed many change of clothes throughout the days. She behaved well throughout the journey but she didn’t want to sleep in her car seat much. The lil girl awakens too easily lah.. I had to hold her asleep on my lap most of the time. She slept 1/3 of the way to JB but slept ALL the way back! Must be tired, poor baby.
We also took her to Singapore for the first time! Had lots of fun showing her off to relatives and all. Her passport now has an entry stamp! Yeayyyy!!! I am one excited mommy aren’t I hahahaha. The journey was fun, she behaved well throughout, only downside was it’s soooo hard to put her to sleep! I guess babies are just used to routines and since the place is a strange one, she wouldn’t sleep. She hardly naps during the day (yes our lil girl is STILL using the river sound to sleep and we didn’t bring the cd back) as the houses we went to are noisy and all… she just sleeps in the car between rides.. And she’s cranky by late evening but only coz of the lack of sleep.. when we’re in a crowded area or a shopping center she gets soo excited and starts kicking and squirming around hehehe. Our lil girl just loves to go ‘jalan-jalan’.
Everyone is amused by her hahaha as we are.. she is just a very good ‘thing’ to show off and gloat about hehehe.
She now has distinct cries.. we can almost easily distinguish between hunger cries and tired/sleepy cries (this is usually the worst!) and just pick-me-up cries and even bored cries. A bit of a drama queen, lil kiddo.
I currently am dreaming of the time she is ready to eat. I am already visualizing what food to give, how often, the cutleries, the mess! But for now I’m just gonna take one step at a time.. not too soon!
On another note, I think Ayra is a bit ‘lazy’ for her age. She can hold up her head most times, but sometimes she just prefers to lean on us and not care about what everyone else want her to do hahaha so her head is still slightly wobbly. She can roll over quite easily too, but she only has done it like, 4 times? Hahahaha. She can also reach out and grab things but that one also depends on her mood. Usually we just put toys on her tummy or lap and she will eventually pick them up and stuff them in her mouth after some time. Favourite things to grab is still clothes and hair. Her own and ours. Her nails grow at almost an alarming rate and needs trimming twice a week else she’d be leaving scratches all over her pretty face!
She also loves bathing now and kicks very excitedly in the water. I soo can’t wait to take her swimming! Our mission to find swim diapers are still pending tsk tsk..
Ok, can’t think of anything else to update on…
OMG your little kiddo is sooo cute!!! and you know what, so many blogger babies’ parents bring the babies to Johor and Spore for their first trip! it’s funny :p Gib’s first trip was JB and Spore too.
