Hi all… it’s Ayra’s dad here. The mom is a bit sick so forgive her if she’s not replying to comments or whatever…

I’ve been a stay-at-home dad for the past 3 days and will continue on till the end of this week. We figured that it was the best decision for little Ayra, and we still could live with the pay cut from our unpaid leaves.

Luckily for me, Ayra already has a set of somewhat fixed routine that she follows. We also persuade the maid to stick to the routine… all I got to do was to follow it, and compensate a bit when things go out of schedule. On a normal day, her daytime activities consist of:

• Wake up at 7am
• Feeding with the mom, just before we go off to work
• Bath at 9am
• Sleep
• Play/Watch TV (yeah she already love cartoons. Bad Sign!)
• Feeding at noon
• Sleep
• Play/Watch TV
• Afternoon bath
• Afternoon feeding
• Short nap before mommy and daddy come home from work

Things are going well so far. I’m not dead of boredom yet. I am cherishing this extra time spent with little Ayra, watching her first smile of the day with her messy hair and dried saliva crumbs and her excitement of watching Mommy come back from work and going straight into her arms.

I’ve been watching a lot of my old rock concert DVDs with Ayra. Last weekend we watched Metallica’s Cunning Stunts DVD. Yesterday we watched Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Live in Sloane Castle, and this morning we watched Guns N’ Roses World Tour Tokyo. I noticed that Ayra loves to watch Axl Rose! Hmm… is this a sign of ‘bad boy obsession’? Anyways… I’m still looking forward to the rest of my days as a househusband. Next week It’ll be the mommy’s turn to take care of the kiddo full-time.

But we still don’t know how to handle the situation when I’m gone to the US in a couple of weeks…
