Don't worry, hang in there! we had the same problem with Gib too, when he was about 4-5 months old. And hetz is right again; once they start moving about, they'll get soo tired, they'll fall asleep easily (insyaallah!). we co-sleep with Gib as well (yesss the cot is for show!) up till now, coz everytime he gets startled in his sleep, he'd twist and turn till he jams himself up against the warmth of one of us punya body. and he'd fall asleep again immediately. my sister used to co-sleep with all her 3 eldest kids too. now she still co-sleeps with her 4th one. so far no problems nak separate them and get them to sleep on their own, once they stop breastfeeding (so far lah! ) so i hope Gib pun nanti boleh adjust accordingly...when the time comes. i gotta say the best tip i got was from nadia (http://www.chubbyschmubby.com/), when i had major trouble putting gib down for daytime naps. she suggested i lie down in bed beside him and cuddle him. well.. but every baby is different, of course. i think alya's just trying to find her thing.. :) i have to say that the lying-down-nursing thingy worked for us as well.
