Yesterday, Saturday marked some firsts for Ayra. Due to some circumstances (she always seems hungry, always sucking her hands, family pressure yada yada) I decided to give Ayra her first solid! I bought Nestle Rice Cereal with Milk and decided to give it a go. Mixed it to a soupy consistency and tried to feed her using the spoon. Must say not much luck there, but her she’s on a learning path. Still doesn’t know to swallow the cereal, though she can accept the spoon. She will get the spoon in her mouth, suck the contents, then splurt it out again with her saliva hahahaha. I don’t know how much she actually got IN and swallowed, but it isn’t much till she got fed-up and started making noise. We tried it again this morning and still not much improvement. Nevermind, these things take time don’t they? I just instructed the maid to feed her every morning till she can take it. I didn’t take picture (hard to take picture while trying to feed a baby) but I do have a video of her first spoonful. Perhaps later I shall post it on youtube (youtube takes almost forever to upload a video).
Apart from that, I managed to take her out alone!!!! First time ever!!! I decided to give it a go and skip bringing the maid just coz I got a friend to meet me at the shopping centre. It’s only a 10-mins drive away and I took the RM2 toll just to make the journey smoother. Got hubbs to install the car seat on the front passenger seat before he left just in case I wanted to bring Ayra alone. And though I was a nervous wreck, we made it! I made sure to clip on her light-on fan to keep her occupied and though initially after being strapped on she did make some noise, I spoke to her on the way and she started fiddling with her toys. Phew!!! At the shopping mall she was fine though she didn’t wanna sit in her stroller for long (as usual) and I had to carry her with the carrier (now I really wished hubbs was there, sakit pinggang!)… it wasn’t a long outing as I made sure she wasn’t cranky as we still had the journey home… after the 1-hour outing, I fed her milk and then strapped her in again.
She didn’t fuss, and the magical thing is, just as we were about to reach home, she yawned a few times, and actually fell asleep!!! This is a MAJOR achievement as my Ayra NEVER fell asleep on her own, especially never in public (which is also why I am always making sure our outing doesn’t last for too long it overlaps with her naps). That done, I am not sure I wanna do it again. Though successful, it was tiring and really worrying!!!
I don’t have much to write about today, I went out to get a few stuff on my own and decided to leave Ayra with the maid… but, as promised, I have pictures of her before and after the hair cut!

Before

After
Sorry the after pics are a bit reddish and yellowish, those were taken at night. So what do you guys thinkof my hairdressing skills? Hhehehehe
congratulations!! feels great to bring her out on your own, doesnt it? like a newfound sense of success :D memang it’s so tiring to bring em out alone but the more u do it, the more u get used to it.. and she’ll get used to it too! there’s this blogger mummy, Sasha, she takes her kid out soo often that the kid memang constantly good natured whenever she brings him out (even in the middle of the night). so don’t give up, kiddo’s mom! (i’m trying to practice-practice kan gibran also. hehehe). by the way, ayra looks great so i think the haircut was a success :D
the before pic,i can see Ayra’s lentik2 hair(sideburn),so cute!patutler the father would probably feel sad bout’it,but thats alrite, hair will growback, plus the new look/haircut,makes Ayra looks so angelic!!too cute i must say.oh,on another note,YAY!u DID IT!!see, not that ‘hard’ right?hehehe, tho’ yes i must agree, the first time, abit stressfull/worrying,but as u go along w/ more confident in u,u’ll get the hang of it.bravo!
