I really really miss blogging hahahahaha. So what has been happening?
Work has been quite hectic for me. My bosses are really serious people. They have new ideas every single day! Hence, more and more research and studies for me. And since I can’t blog from work, it has been quite crappy la hahahaha.
I was on leave on Friday. We took Ayra for her well-baby checkup at the government clinic. At 11 months and 8 days, she is (still) 9kgs and 75cms, head circumference 44cms, chest circumference 48cms. Very healthy baby!
I took leave because I wanted to go to the Mattel warehouse sale in PJ. It was my first experience. My goodness!!!!! The amount of people and all their kiasu-ness! The flyers said door open at 10 a.m. so I went at 10, but then I found out that the doors opened at 9.30 a.m. instead because of the amount of people already waiting. When I got there, there was already tonnes of people around and most of the toys has been snapped up! I only saw many2 barbie dolls, hot wheels set and some other board games sorts. All Fisher-Price items has been snapped up! I took some stuff as presents to my nephews and sister and then just walked about while waiting for a friend to arrive. I saw this Chinese couple sorting their stuff, and I braved myself to talk to them and ask if there is anything they decided not to buy. Lo and behold! They gave me some really good stuff! Else I wouldn’t get anything for Ayra at all. All in all I got these stuff at these prices:

The Barbie doll, hot wheels truck, top game, fire engine and building blocks are gifts for others, and the rest is for keeps till Ayra can play with them! Hahahahahaha. These are the pics of Ayra’s toys. The rest has been given away before we could take a pic hehehe.

It was a great experience to go there and I must admit I got some great bargains coz these stuff are really expensive outside, but then the crowd was horrible! There was too many people and it was hot and stuffy and the queue to pay took me more than an hour to get to! Crazy I tell ya. There were families who has no less than 10 BIG boxes of toys. They just simply grab everything and then sort or they just buy them all and keep for presents and such as the stuff were really cheap! I dunno if I ever will go there again but I am glad I did. At least I have some good developmental toys for Ayra when she grows up. That’s it! No more toys till she turns 3! (Wishful thinking hahahaha)
We went back to JB that Friday afternoon and we spent some quality time with the family and I also got to get-together with some schoolmates. We had a great time reminiscing. All of us are married, most with kids in tow, some pregnant, some still waiting for good news. But we all had fun meeting up and Ayra got some new play-mates.

Another milestone of Ayra’s that I forgot to mention in the last post, is that she is a music-lover just like her Mommy and Daddy. She dances everytime she hears music! And it is just oh-so-cute to watch. She will sit still, nod her head up and down and move her body front and back! Hahahahaha. We should take a video of her doing that. The Elmo that I bought her sings and she even dances to him!
I really hope I can update this blog again soon… sigh!
wowwweeeee you’re so lucky to have managed to get all that!! it was the same for us (my sister and i) when we went to the toy warehouse sale last year too. so SUPER KIASU okay!! they grabbed and grabbed and then baru sort out. i did the same as u.. approached a woman with a hugee box filled with toys. hahahahaha! but in the end i didnt get as much of a good deal as you did coz we didnt go very early. when we got home we promised ourselves no toys for a year or two!… but ehem… not gonna happen, i think :p
u’re very lucky indeed babe :D. but of course ayra’s luckier lah. all those toys should keep her occupied for a long-long time :p
wahhh sakan shopping! heheh quite few hundreds gak ah jadinya..(well, i did calculate it nway..:P)
good thing is, those toys will last long for sure..nnti boleh turun temurun adik2 ayra jugak..hehe
eeehh, sama laa FP piano tu, but iman got it hands-down from her cousins.. tp agak kuat drain out the batt gak la..setakat batt C size, eveready biasa2 tu kejap je tahan..hehe
waaaa…jeles nyer u got all those stuffs at a great deal.lucky ayra…hehehe…

i was there in the morning but couldn’t find a single parking space. i had to go back and come again in the afternoon. naturally, all the FP items were all gone. but i got really good bargains for adam and alyssa’s toys, plus many2 stocks for b’day pressies when the need arises.
the first time i went to Mattel warehouse sale back when it was held in jln tandang, we could still get FP toys even on the 2nd day of sale. nowadays, first hour lagi dah habis. :(
psst, i was told they have this sale twice a year. so keep ur eyes peeled and come earlier next time.

wow!those are pretty great bargains you got there. i’ve only been reading about these warehouse sales but haven’t to one yet. i must…really must go one day.
