Right inside the door of our room is a pedestal used for storing hubbs’ old magazines. It’s slightly shorter than Ayra when she stands. One day, she ran into the room, slipped and fell head first at the pedestal. Her cries can be heard from 3 houses away I’m sure. The result?

Happy again, but with a bad bump on the head!
I think I kept amazingly calm throughout the episode, though a part of me wanted to freak out (like, look at the size of that thing and with the blue-black line down the middle, she could have had a concussion or a fracture or something) but I guess I was trying to prepare myself for many many many more accidents such as this one. You can’t really protect them from EVERYTHING can you.
Ayra, ayra, please don’t run too fast or at least, TRY to look what you’re running into hahaha.
Edit: Of course I didn’t just stand there and pacified her when she first fell. I immediately asked hubbs to prepare an ice pack (consisting of ice cubes wrapped in cloth diapers) and compressed (or actually just to pat lah) on her bruise. She wouldn’t let me coz maybe the cold is not comfy for her so I had to do it on and off before she pushes it away. But it definitely helped. The big bump was gone by the next day. Ayra’s all fine and dandy again, and she STILL runs while looking the other way :)
Oh my God!!! Is she okay? Is her Mommy okay? Sian nyer. Some ppl say kalo ada benjol cecepat tuam dgn air (room temp). Or is it air sejuk? I hope she is already up and about, Bubbly Ayra. Dah start byk ckp ke?

the bump looks veyr painful! but ayra nampak rileks je ;) strong girl! haha and yeah i agree w anne, nothing beats a boobie fix at times like these :)

Uh, oh that looks painful, but I agree with we can’t protect her all the time kan, sometimes this is just the way for them to learn to be careful the next time.

oh wow, nasty bump. but alhamdulillah she’s ok! yeah u can never protect your children as much as u wish u could. everytime gib has a nasty fall, i’d feel so incompetent but that’s life, right? so much easier said than done! heheh.
oh dear, kesiannya. That looks painful even on adults like us. But yeah, the hair is still gorgeous, it’s hard not to mention. :)
I’ve learnt that the saying is true… When a child is in pain, the mother is always the pillar of strength, despite the agony she is feeling inside.
