We started the day darn bloody early that day.. at 3-freaking-a.m.! We were taken on a long ride all the way to Lovina beach and waited for the sunrise before we got on the boats (which, for the record is not for the faint-hearted coz they were soooo narrow it can fit only one person’s width and they had 2 poles along the side to stabilize the boats!) to the middle of the sea. And what awaits, is truly an experience of a lifetime. DOLPHINS!!!! I have never been to any marine places or what but this is the best you can get coz you see dolphins in the wild y’all! They started coming by the dozens and swam all around the many many boats carrying tourists just like ours… they swam and they jumped in the water freely and the boat people kept chasing them all over the place hahahaha. It was sheer fun, to be viewing the dolphins from a very close distance with the sunrise at the background! Not to mention the small boats were pretty fast and it was BLOODY COLD!!!! We played around with the water and after an hour or so went back to shore where we had our breakfast at a small motel’s cafe, not too bad at all and cheap too!

Afterwards we were taken to Banjar Village Hot Spring where we had a nice dip in the warm waters.. early morning dip… though the water is slightly murky it is understood since the spring is a natural one…  after some time having fun as mermaids, we were taken to a waterfal at GitgitVillage… the waterfall was bloody high and pretty! The way leading up there was filled with ’sawah padi’ and oh-so-green and serene! Hubbs got himself a ‘Barong’ statue at an affordable price, he’s been eyeing one since the dance we saw. Bali is just full of arts and crafts..

Next, off to Lake Beratan where we had another buffet lunch at a resto there then walked about the lake area.. it was VERy cold I think partly coz it’s somewhat on a higher level.. there’s sort of a religious ceremony going on there.. and they even had a mini temple on a small island in the mid of the lake! This area we saw a mosque! One of the very very few ( I think there’s only 2 or 3 on the whole island) and also some very scarce Buddha statues. Next to Taman Ayun temple (again, a temple, the tour consists of mainly these), a nice temple at a big land.. then to Alas Kedaton, a monkey forest where we fed monkeys and played with bats hahaha.

The highlight of the day would have to be Tanah Lot.. where we stayed to watch the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen… the place is full of shops… we shopped some more of course; then there were villagers playing with big anacondas, I touched the ‘holy snake’ said to be a harbinger of good wealth and prosperity for a small amount. We had lots of fun taking pics as it is such a picturesque place with rocks, natural tunnels and even a temple in the sea. The view is just breathtaking! After the sun has set and we had enough fun taking pics, we went off to Jimbaran for our BBQ dinner by the sea and we saw another dance called ‘kecak’ dance though from far.. the seafood was gooodddddd. But slightly expensive of course…

After that to the hotel we went for our regular daily walk around… and off to sleep!
